WayWalker Studios first release—Violet Dawn: Exile—is a digital-first comic series written by New York Times bestselling novelist Alexander Freed. “Violet Dawn has been in development for over twenty years and is a labor of love for all of us at WayWalker Studios,” said creative director Jeffrey Visgaitis. “We are excited to finally pull back the curtain and fully explore the alien world of Avadnu. We have some great products in the works that we can’t wait to share with the hobby game community.”
WayWalker’s next release is a new line of affordable fantasy and sci-fi terrain suitable for both tabletop and RPG games. The terrain is being developed using the latest digital sculpting and 3D printing technologies and is currently being tested to ensure it maintains the company’s high standards and meets the requirements of both tabletop and RPG gamers. More information on WayWalker’s terrain line is forthcoming and will be announced in early 2019.
The founders of WayWalker Studios are:
Jeffrey Visgaitis, co-founder and creative director, had his start in the industry when he worked on the fan created supplement Lustria: Cities of Gold for Games Workshop’s popular Mordheim: City of the Damned skirmish game. Since then he has conceptualized the dark fantasy IP “Violet Dawn”, run an award-winning pen-and-paper role-playing game company, and worked as a miniatures designer, 3D modeler, and layout artist.
Michael Lazarus, co-founder and managing director, has been involved in business in some capacity throughout his entire life since he turned a profit making and selling comics on the playground in grade school. He has a background in video games, having worked at local gaming companies and conventions in the Austin area. Michael has developed content in both Unity and Unreal, and is now completing a degree in animation and fabrication.
